Step two: Please print out the application for admission created in the online application portal. Then send it along with the following documents to the address specified on the application form:

Test scores should be reported by the test center to the University of Freiburg (institutional code for TOEFL is 7125). Alternatively, you may send a certified hard copy. The same procedure is required for the GRE score. Only native speakers from the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada are exempted from submitting one of these English language certificates. A confirmation that the medium of instruction at your university was English is not sufficient.
Please note: All documents must be submitted as hard copies. All photocopies must be certified. Soft copies or incomplete applications will not be considered. Certificates issued in a language other than German or English must be accompanied with a translation by an authorized translator. 1. Do you have a rolling admission?
No. The admissions committee only meets twice every semester. The first meeting usually takes place 2-3 weeks after the application deadline has expired.
2. When will I be informed about the result of my application?
You will be notified by e-mail within a week after the meeting of the admissions committee. The admissions committee usually meets 2-3 weeks after the application deadline.
3. When will I receive the letter of admission?
The admission letters will be issued by the University’s International Admissions and Services Office (IAS). First, you will receive a soft copy of the admission letter (approx. 3 weeks after the meeting of the admissions committee). After that we will dispatch a hard copy. Please note: The hard copy will be sent by regular mail (international airmail). Depending on the destination, delivery may take up to 3-4 weeks.
