The dMAT test format

The Core Module has 20 Figure Sequences, 20 Mathematical Equations and 20 Latin Squares. Each section lasts 25 minutes. After a 30-minute break, the General Academic Module lasts 90 minutes. Our full mocks use 26 questions in that module.

Frequently asked questions

Is this dMAT practice test free?

Yes. These two questions need no sign-in. The full practice area and both full mock tests are also free after you create an account.

What question types are in the dMAT?

The Core Module has Figure Sequences, Mathematical Equations and Latin Squares. Indian APS applicants then take the General Academic Module.

How long is the full dMAT?

The three Core Module sections take 25 minutes each. The General Academic Module takes 90 minutes, with a 30-minute break between the modules.

Do I need a calculator for dMAT equations?

No. The official test does not allow a calculator. The equations use whole numbers from 1 to 20 and are designed to be solved mentally.

What do the full free mock tests include?

Each mock has 86 questions: 60 Core Module questions and 26 General Academic Module questions. The official dMAT publishes the Core counts but not a fixed live Academic Module count. Both mocks follow the official timing and order.
