How to apply
What you need to apply for International Licensing Law at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (HS Darmstadt)
The admission requirement for the International Licensing Law program is a relevant and qualified bachelor's or diploma degree or a first state law examination in a field of law.
(2) Degrees from the Information Law programs at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences or comparable degrees are considered
relevant. Applicants with related but not directly comparable degrees may be admitted upon written application based on an individual review by the examination board with additional requirements, which must be met before or during the master's program by the end of the second semester. The additional requirements are not part of the curriculum and are separately certified in the certificate. If the additional requirements are not met by the deadline,
the applicant will be excluded from further examinations.
(3) The diploma or bachelor's degree is considered qualified if an overall grade of 2.6 or better was achieved. The first state law examination is considered qualified if an overall grade of "satisfactory" (6.5 points) or better was achieved. Applicants who do not achieve an overall grade of 2.6 (diploma or bachelor's degree) or "satisfactory" (6.5 points) (first state law examination), but who have completed the examination with an overall grade of 3.0 (diploma or bachelor's degree) or "sufficient" (5 points) (first state law examination) or better, may be admitted upon written application based on an individual review by the examination board. In this case, the applicant must explain in a timely manner why they nevertheless have sufficient qualifications to begin the master's program. Supporting factors may include, among others:
practical experience in the field of international licensing law, completion of the law degree within the standard period of study, a bachelor's or diploma thesis with a grade of at least 1.3,
above-average voluntary subject-related commitment within and outside of higher education institutions,
a semester abroad with appropriate academic success.
