As a rule, in addition to your knowledge of English, you must also prove your knowledge of German at the level A1 (e.g. with a Goethe or Unicert certificate). If you have no knowledge of German at the time of your application, you have the option of turning this in by the end of the 2nd semester.

a written justification of a maximum of 2 A4 pages for the choice of the master’s programme, in which the applicant explains their interest in and connection to African Studies, and how they see the program contributing to their career goals
Admission from the University of Bayreuth for this course of study from a previous semester (and possibly a letter of requirements)
only to be uploaded by applicants who already got an admission letter from the UBT for the respective master's programme in a previous semester, but did not manage to start their studies
