What you need to apply for Comparative + Middle East Politics and Society (CMEPS) at University of Tubingen

Selection of students will be based on academic capabilities, personal qualification, and motivation. Up to ten stipends for students at each location will be awarded in a second step involving representatives of both universities, of professional practice as well as DAAD.You are eligible to study in the CMEPS program if you hold a B.A. degree or equivalent
\- in Political Science, International Relations or a related social science, or
\- in Middle East Studies, Islamic Studies, or a related discipline.
You also need to provide evidence of your proficiency in English, e.g. through TOEFL (scores: at least 90), IELTS (at least 6.5), a similar certificate, or through having graduated from an English-language university.
CMEPS students at Tübingen will also take courses in basic Arabic in their first year and have the possibility to take further Arabic courses during their semester at AUC.
What to prepare for your application to Comparative + Middle East Politics and Society (CMEPS)
CMEPS is offered jointly by the University of Tübingen and the American University in Cairo (AUC).All students will spend one semester at the respective partner institution.
Bachelor certificate, including transcript of records. If you have not received you BA certificate yet, the latest transcript of records can be accepted instead. In this case your BA certificate plus your final transcript have to be handed in until the end of the first semester.
For study courses with restricted admission: Your school leaving certificate or "Hochschulzugangsberechtigung" (HZB), i.e. your secondary school certificate. A transcript of records or a degree certificate of your former studies and, if available, the results of a university entrance exam of your home country.
