What you need to apply for European Studies and European Legal Studies (MA/LLM) at University of Hamburg
Required
Graduation from a German or foreign institution of higher education (University level) representing a total of 240 Credit Points (CP) according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), preferably in Law, Economics or Political Science.
Applicants who have earned their first degree qualifying for a professional career representing a total of 180 CP have to make up for the missing 60 CP by a good performance in additional or practical training programmes in fields similar to those of the Master Programme. Proof of this may be submitted in form of professional experience, further studies, research activities, publications and the like.

1. Passport photograph (45 mm x 35 mm)
2. Tabular curriculum vitae (such as EUROPASS CV)
3. Diploma qualifying for admission to an institution of
higher education or an equivalent document which entitles the applicant to be admitted to an institution of higher education, e.g. school leaving certificate or university entrance qualification
4. Document proving the graduation from an institution of higher education or most current grade breakdown and course information, possibly indicating the number of earned Credit Points (CP) according to the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS)
5. If necessary for compensation of missing CP: proof of achievements above average (such as practical experience, studies in other institutions, research activities, publications) in fields related to the Master Programme
6. Proof of the English language proficiency required for studies and examinations in the Master Programme
7. Possibly other documents, proving your qualification and motivation for the Master Programme
8. ‘Letter of Motivation’: in this you shall elaborate on your reasons for applying for admission to the Master Programme Entry field in the form
9. ‘Declaration regarding the Field of Specialisation’, which the applicant intends to study (the choice is to be made between "International Relations of the EU" and "European Business Law")
10. Confirmation that the tuition fees according to the regulations of the Master Programme will be paid
11. Confirmation to have duly taken note of the Examination Regulations of the Master Programme
12. Name and email address of a professors or other individual who is familiar with your academic and professional
development meaning contact details of a professor to act as a referee in support of your application
