The International School of Management (ISM) is a prestigious institution known for its focus on international business education. You must have at least 30 ECTS points for examinations in business or economics-related subjects. If you have studied a non-economic bachelor or are missing some quantitative ECTS-points, ISM offers a Pre-Master program to prepare for this study. We check this individually.

A successfully completed bachelor's degree (transcript of records), comprising at least 180 ECTS points, for the Fast Track 210 ECTS points, or
an equivalent course of study at a university or university of applied sciences or a foreign university of equivalent level, and
Examinations must be at least 30 ECTS points in the field of business sciences. If you have not studied for a Bachelor's degree in economics or if your quantitative ECTS points are not sufficient, you can prepare yourself for your management studies with the ISM Pre-Master.

International applicants who require a visa for studying in Germany must submit their application documents by July 15th of the same year.

What to prepare for your application to International Management
You will receive a link to our application portal after your registration for the admission test day. There you can upload the following documents that we need from you:
Curriculum vitae (CV).
Copy of your national ID card.
A digital passport photo (colored, jpg format, high resolution).
Letter of motivation.
Certified (authenticated) copy of your first degree certificate (in English or German)
If the certificate is not yet available at the time of application, please submit the current overview of grades of the examinations completed up to this point (transcript of records). If you have obtained an international degree, please contact your student advisors to check admission requirements.
Proof of English language knowledge.
You should prove your proficiency in the English language as follows:
A TOEFL (at least a score of 80, internet-based), IELTS (at least 6.0) or Cambridge (FCE) test score or
A degree in English Studies or
At least 30 ECTS in an English-language higher education program or
You are a native speaker (will be assessed on a case-by-case basis).
Proof of health insurance in Germany (can be submitted at a later time too).

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. You will present your results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the admission test.
1st case study:
After your online registration for the admission process, we will send you questions which you will prepare in the form of a presentation and a written elaboration for the day of the interview. You send us the results of this case study by e-mail at least 2 working days before your interview. Therefore, we can also go into the conversation well prepared.
2nd interview:
The goal of the interview is to get to know you and your personal background better. We are looking forward to getting to know your professional and personal goals as well as your motivation for your studies. Furthermore, the head of the study programme can discuss the results of your case study with you during the interview. If you have any further questions about the application process, please contact your study advisor.
