The International School of Management (ISM) offers a course in Strategic Sports Management, which provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the competitive sports industry. a successfully completed Bachelor's degree (transcript of records) comprising at least 180 ECTS points (for the Fast Track option: 210 ECTS points), or
an equivalent course of study at an university, university of applied sciences or a foreign university of equivalent level,
the required application documents (see below), and
successful participation to the ISM admission test.
In addition to the general admission requirements, the following examination results must have been achieved in the first degree program:
Applicants to the program must have completed their first degree (bachelor) in Sports Management or Economics .
Alternatively, applicants could have successfully completed examinations at Bachelor level or higher studies amounting to at least 30 ECTS points from the subject areas of Economics, Marketing, PR or Market Research.
Missing subject-specific ECTS points can be replaced by qualified work experience or corresponding internships. If you need more ECTS points, also taking the ISM Pre-Master program (starts each spring semester) will allow you to acquire missing ECTS.
Please register online for an admission test. You will then receive a confirmation of enrollment with a link to our application portal and the concrete date of your test.
What to prepare for your application to Strategic Sports Management
You will receive a link to our application portal after your registration for the admission test day. There you can upload the following documents that we need from you:
Curriculum vitae (CV).
Copy of your national ID card.
A digital passport photo (colored, jpg format, high resolution).
Letter of motivation.
Certified (authenticated) copy of your first degree certificate (in English or German)
If the certificate is not yet available at the time of application, please submit the current overview of grades of the examinations completed up to this point (transcript of records). If you have obtained an international degree, please contact your student advisors to check admission requirements.
Proof of English language knowledge.
You should prove your proficiency in the English language as follows:

The admission process consists of a case study and an interview. You will present your results of the case study in an oral presentation on the day of the admission test.
1st case study:
After your online registration for the admission process, we will send you questions which you will prepare in the form of a presentation and a written elaboration for the day of the interview. You send us the results of this case study by e-mail at least 2 working days before your interview. Therefore, we can also go into the conversation well prepared.
2nd interview:
The goal of the interview is to get to know you and your personal background better. We are looking forward to getting to know your professional and personal goals as well as your motivation for your studies. Furthermore, the head of the study programme can discuss the results of your case study with you during the interview. If you have any further questions about the application process, please contact your study advisor.
