1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 90 points (IBT)
2. Or: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (academic test) with a minimum of band 6.5
3. Or: equivalent English language test
A waiver for the test of English language proficiency will be granted to students with English as mother tongue, and may be granted where the previous education was completely in English language. The English test can be taken in form of an oral exam in Freiberg. This will take place before the letter of admission to the study programme can be issued

- A first professionally qualifying university degree of at least six/seven semesters at a university, usually in a business degree programme.
- Professional experience of generally at least one year
- A letter of motivation of no more than one page explaining the reasons for applying for the Master's degree programme IBRE and developing the role of the intended Master's degree programme IBRE for future career prospects.
- Qualification assessment procedure
- GMAT test with at least 570 points or
- GRE test with at least 305 points
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 90 points or International English Language Test System (IELTS) with at least band 6.5 (a university entrance qualification obtained at an English-language school, a degree programme taught entirely in English or English as a native language can be counted as equivalent)

The test requirement may be waived if:
You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business-related subjects from the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
You are an applicant from a partner university with double degree contracts (e.g., UPEC, WUP, WUST, CUGB).

Step-by-step guide to applying for MBA International Business in Developing and Emerging Markets (IBDEM) at TU Bergakademie Freiberg

Then, you wait until we report the result of the pre-evlation and go to the next step wne invited to (this can take some time, expect us to reply within one month).
In the second step, please send us a complete application package to the address at the bottom of the page. We do need a complete package, in hard copies, duly attested, to issue a formal letter of admission to our university.
If shortlisted, you will receive an online acknowledgement of receipt for the first online registration step (please note that the office is closed for summer break beetwen 13 July and 05 August, 2017). The results of the second step will be sent out to you via Email as soon as the evaluation is done. This will take some weeks, in some cases, the verdict will be cast only immediately after the respective deadlines (see below), otherwise, we try to continuously enrole new students).
