What you need to apply for Intelligent Systems at Ulm University of Applied Sciences (THU)
Need a Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related subject. You must have at least 60 ECTS credits acquired from the study of computer science-based subject.

The basic requirement for studying “Intelligent Systems” at our University is an above average university degree in an IT-related course of study with at least three years of study time (corresponding 180 ECTS points). In addition applicants must have in-depth knowledge and skills in the fields of “Computer Engineering”, “Business Information Systems”, “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology” or another computer science-related degree course with at least 33 % (equaling 60 ECTS points) in Information Sciences.
First, however, submit your Bachelor’s certificate to the Center for International Students (Studienkolleg), Brauneggerstraße 55, 78462 Konstanz Germany (www.studienkolleg.htwg-konstanz.de) for validation and recognition.
The Center is your point of contact for all questions concerning the validation of your certificate.
Only after you received the validation certificate you can apply via the online application portal on the internet site of the corresponding Master’s course. Send us the print-out together with a notarized Bachelor’s certificate, the certificate from Konstanz, a letter of motivation, and a résumé.
Although the course is in English for the day to day business you need to have sufficient German language skills.

The tuition fee for students form non-EU countries is € 1,500 per semester.
In order to apply for the Master's program IS, you need a university degree in a computer science-related Bachelor's degree program. At least 60 ECTS must be allocated to the acquisition of competence from the computer science category.

Admission to the IS program requires a university degree in a computer science-related bachelor's program. At least 60 ECTS credits must be allocated to the acquisition of skills in computer science. A further admission requirement is successful participation in an interview, in which a grade of at least "sufficient" (4.0) must be achieved. Since the lecture language is English, very good written and spoken English skills are also required.
If you are unable to fully demonstrate the above-required specialist knowledge and skills before beginning your Master's program, but successful completion of the program can be expected based on the quality of your first university degree and the results of the selection interview, you may be admitted on the condition that you acquire the missing knowledge within one semester.

After your application has been received, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail. The allocation of study places is then determined by an aptitude test in which suitable applicants have to take part in a selection interview. The interview is usually held in the first three weeks after the application deadline at Ulm University of Applied Sciences. If you are selected for an interview, you will receive a written invitation in good time, in which you will be informed of the exact dates and location of the selection interview.
Upon completion of the interview, you will be rated on a scale of 1.0 to 5.0 based on your ability and openness to the master's program. In order to be admitted to the course, you must achieve a grade of at least 4.0.
The notifications of admission are expected to be sent by post in the first week of February for the summer semester and in the first week of August for the winter semester. The rejection notices usually follow one to two weeks later. If places remain unfilled, applicants who took part in the selection interviews can be subsequently considered.
