M.A. Architecture

Architecture is a German-taught Master of Arts (M.A.) at htw saar, the University of Applied Sciences Saarland. It lasts 4 semesters and starts in the winter semester. The programme links an artistic ambition with the skill to carry a design through to a professional standard. Through projects and electives you deepen your core skill: developing convincing designs for tasks in cities and in the countryside. Key questions include how urban planning can respond to demographic change, what large social transformations demand, which artistic approaches will shape tomorrow's cityscape, and how sustainable materials fit into modern design. The modular structure lets you set much of your own focus. The degree qualifies you to work fully as an architect, and after two years of professional experience you can join a chamber of architects and work independently.
