Admission to the Master's program in Applied Computer Science requires a university degree or equivalent qualification with an overall grade of 2.7 or better and at least 180 ECTS credits in a related field. If you have a Bachelor's degree with more than 180 ECTS credits or 6 semesters, please contact us regarding recognition options.
Related programs include all programs in the field of computer science (in particular bioinformatics, computer and communications engineering, computer science, engineering informatics/computer engineering, media informatics, medical informatics, software systems science, and business informatics), provided that they include, in addition to extensive study of applied computer science and computer science and their fundamentals (at least 90 ECTS credits including a thesis in applied computer science or computer science), the study of applied subjects totaling at least 18 ECTS credits. The examination board will decide on a case-by-case basis whether the program is considered related in this sense.

As part of the application process, we require the following documents:
Proof of general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
Proof of a university degree (if the university certificate is not yet available at the time of application, it can be submitted later - however, this does not apply to foreign applicants)
Evidence of the academic and examination achievements achieved during the university studies (e.g. certificate, current grade overview, performance overview or transcript of records)
certificates of further training measures, if applicable
For foreign applicants, additional proof of German language skills at least at level B2 and a copy of your identity card or passport
