If you do not have a German-language university entrance qualification or a German-language university degree, you must provide proof of sufficient German language skills.

Applicants must provide proof of their German language skills in the form of one of the following certificates:
Test “Deutsch als Fremdsprache” (TestDaF), at least level TDN 4 in all four parts of the test.
The TestDaf is a standardized test that can be taken at many test centers both in Germany and abroad. In contrast to the DSH, the examination can be repeated as often as required.
The TestDaf can also be taken at the Language Center of the University of Hohenheim.

Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH), if it was passed with at least level DSH-2.

Recognized foreign certificates
Please note that an IB Diploma is only recognized as proof of German language proficiency with German A as the Higher Level. Otherwise, you must submit one of the above-mentioned proofs of German.
You must provide proof that you have successfully passed one of the above tests by the application deadline. Applications for admission without a corresponding certificate will be returned!
