The relevance to images can be demonstrated either through courses with an image reference amounting to 30 ECTS credit points (ECTS-LP) or through a successfully completed final thesis with an image reference and can also include the artistic engagement with images
Achievements may, for example, have been achieved in the fields of art history, art education and visual literacy, history, communication, media and political science, geography, cultural semiotics, psychology and philosophy, but also within the framework of a scientific or artistic course of study at a state university.
In addition, proof of English language skills at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is required.
International applicants require proof of their German language skills. These must be proven by an official language test at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference.
