In addition to the admission requirements set out in § 2 [general subject examination regulations for masters degree (in german)](https://www.uni-trier.de/en/studium/beratung-service/serv...) at Trier University, students on the master’s degree programme in Natural Language Processing must fulfil the following requirements:
1\. a bachelor's degree in a subject-relevant degree programme. Relevance to the subject is given if at least 30 credit points in computational linguistics, linguistics or computer science have been acquired in the degree programme. The decision on subject relevance is made by the examination board on a case-by-case basis.
2\. proof of knowledge of the English language in accordance with § 4 paragraph 2 of the [enrolment regulations of Trier University (in german)](https://www.uni-trier.de/en/studium/beratung-service/serv...) in the currently valid version.

If only a 3-year Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts (without any specialisation) has been completed, no admission can be granted.

University Entrance Qualification (HZB) – in most cases the diploma of your secondary school
Master entrance qualification – in most cases your bachelor certificate including subject and grade overview (diploma supplement including overall GPA). If you have not yet concluded your bachelor:
Transcript of records including overall GPA
If your diploma supplement or transcript of records does not include an overall GPA: Other official document stating your overall cumulative GPA
Proof of payment of the evaluation fee
