What you'll do
- In your thesis you assess selected production technologies of lithium-ion battery manufacturing for their transferability to future cell chemistries, for example sodium-ion or solid-state batteries.
- Based on existing approaches, you develop an assessment model for selected process steps, considering technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness and scalability.
- Using the assessment model, you analyze opportunities and challenges for European battery cell manufacturing.
- Finally, you prepare the results in a structured way, derive recommendations for action and document your approach in the thesis.
What you need
- You study economics, business chemistry, business informatics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics or a comparable subject with good academic results
- You are interested in technical questions in battery and production technology and ideally bring first practical experience from a working student job in an industrial setting (e.g. consulting, product development, production and technology management)
- A strategic-analytical mindset and conceptual skills set you apart
- You work independently and solution-oriented
- Good German and English language skills as well as good MS Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel) round off your profile
