What you'll do
- Exoskeletons can reduce the shoulder moment. However, the support force is introduced via an arm cuff and thus loads the shoulder joint itself. Excessive support can increase joint forces instead of reducing them. The aim of this thesis is to use musculoskeletal simulation to investigate the trade-off between moment relief and glenohumeral joint load. From this, the optimal support level for the control of an adaptive shoulder exoskeleton shall be derived.
