What you'll do
- Co-simulation optimization: Analysis and improvement of simulation configurations with the aim of enabling deployment on high-performance computers such as dSPACE platforms under strict real-time requirements.
- Real-time optimization & model reduction: Research of the current state of the art for acceleration and reduction of simulation models, as well as implementation of strategies to improve real-time capability.
- Integration & parameterization: Extraction of relevant model information from CPACS and SysML v2 specifications in order to dynamically parameterize FMU-based co-simulations via the SSP standard format.
- Validation & documentation: Supervision of test runs, analysis of simulation data and scientific documentation of optimization results.
What you need
- Ongoing studies in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or a comparable engineering subject (Master's or advanced Bachelor's studies).
- Knowledge of modeling, system dynamics or simulation technology.
- Sound programming skills in languages such as Python, Modelica, Matlab.
- Technical interest in real-time systems (especially dSPACE) and model-based development (MBSE).
- Independent, conscientious way of working.
- Good English language skills in word and writing.
What you get
- DLR stands for diversity, appreciation and equality for all people. We promote independent working and the individual further development of our employees in their personal and professional environment. For this purpose, our numerous training and further education opportunities are available to you. Equal opportunities are a particular concern for us, we therefore want to increase the proportion of women in science and management in particular. Applications from severely disabled persons are given preference in case of professional suitability.
