Buena · Berlin

InternshipGerman needed: fluent
Still open on 1 Nov

What you'll do

  • Financial DD. You analyze BWAs, annual financial statements and cash flows, check revenue and managed units and document red flags. You work on purchase price models and calculate scenarios and earn-out structures.
  • Commercial & Operations DD. You review property lists, management contracts and ERP/process data. You assess personnel and capacity requirements and prepare questions for discussions with management.
  • Prepare decisions. You condense your results into clear findings and executive summaries. You prepare property controlling and liquidity planning and provide input for the decision memorandum and the annexes to the share purchase agreement (SPA).
  • Manage the DD process. You create and maintain information request lists, organize the data room in DataSite or Google Drive and follow up on missing documents. You document open questions, progress and results in Linear.
  • Own workstreams. Depending on experience and transaction, you lead individual DD workstreams from the first data request to the findings report.

What you need

  • You have already completed an internship or working student position in M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Auditing or transaction-related consulting.
  • You are studying Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, (Business) Law, Industrial Engineering or something comparable – from the fifth semester or in a Master's program.
  • You can confidently read P&L, BWA and balance sheets and understand what revenue, EBITDA, working capital and liabilities say about a company.
  • You know valuation methods such as multiples and DCF and have already applied them.
  • You have a strong command of Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and the preparation and consolidation of unstructured data.
  • You work carefully, question inconsistencies and clarify open points independently.
  • Negotiation-proficient German (C2) in word and writing
  • You are available for at least three, ideally six months full-time and want to work from our Berlin office.

What you get

  • How we as a buyer examine, evaluate and acquire companies – with a double-digit number of transactions per year.
  • How financial data, contracts and management discussions turn into a solid purchase decision.
  • How valuation, purchase agreement and later integration fit together.

With good cooperation, there is a perspective for entry after the internship.

  • Up to €500 close-to-office bonus if you live within a 10–20 minute walk of the office or move there.
  • €110 monthly lunch budget and €50 fitness subsidy.
  • €1,200 annual training budget.
  • Free books: Buena pays for every book you want to read.
  • We grow through acquisitions. You work on ongoing deals and see immediately how your work impacts our growth.
  • Responsibility follows results. Those who deliver reliably get more responsibility quickly with us.
  • We work closely together. From our office, with short paths to the Deal Lead and management.
  • We are building Buena for the long term. Every acquisition brings us closer to our goal: making real estate simpler and enabling wealth building for more people.
