Internship: Roll-to-Roll Winding Process for Sensor Integration in Fiber-Reinforced Plastics
Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft
InternshipGerman needed: not said
Still open on 1 NovWhat you will do
- Coupling a roll-to-roll winding device for wires with an existing splice system and subsequently connecting the combined system to another processing step
- Analyzing the existing modules
- Developing a suitable integration concept and implementing or preparing the coupling from a design, control engineering and process engineering perspective
- Coordinating mechanical interfaces
- Examining movement and winding sequences
- Integrating the splice function and investigating process control with regard to robust further processing
- Depending on the design of the work, concept development, design engineering, commissioning support, testing and documentation may be part of the assignment
What you need
- Studying mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, automation engineering, process engineering, production engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- Interest in equipment integration, roll-to-roll processes, wire processing and sensor integration in fiber-reinforced plastic composites
- Basic knowledge of design engineering, control engineering and/or process development; specialization may vary depending on the type of work
- Independent, structured way of working and willingness to work practically with test and equipment modules
- Open and curious personality with an independent and creative approach, quick comprehension and an eye for effective and efficient task completion
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Goal-oriented approach and motivation to familiarize yourself with new subject areas
