Formal requirements
Bachelor's degree with at least 7 semesters standard period of study (210 CP):
A professionally qualifying university degree (Bachelor's degree, Diplom degree or equivalent) in, for example, electronics, electrical engineering, optics, optoelectronics, precision engineering, mechatronics and computer science or a related subject with an above-average degree (usually with a grade of at least 2.5) and with at least 210 ECTS credit points.
Bachelor's degree with a standard period of study of at least 8 semesters (less than 210 CP):
Applicants with a university degree with an above-average grade (usually with a grade of at least 2.5) and at least 180 ECTS credit points but less than 210 ECTS credit points will only be admitted on the condition that they acquire the difference up to the required 210 ECTS credit points during the Master's program. The Examination Board decides in what form the additional credits are to be earned and whether additional subjects from the Diplom/Bachelor's degree course are recognized. In this case, the degree course is generally extended by one semester.
