What you need to apply for Water Resources and Environmental Engineering at Leibniz University Hannover
C1 level
1, applicants who have not yet completed their bachelor's or an equivalent
degree at the time of application are provisionally eligible to apply if they have obtained at least
150 credit points and it is to be expected that they will complete the bachelor's or equivalent degree by
the end of the first semester of the master’s degree programme at the latest. 2The average mark of the
assessments completed so far shall be determined; it shall be taken into account in the selection process as per section 4, irrespective of the final bachelor’s degree mark
Students must hold a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the WATENV Master's programme, e.g., civil engineering, environmental sciences, natural sciences or geosciences. Basic knowledge in mathematics and water sciences (hydrology, hydraulics, sanitary engineering) is required.
The decision whether the previous degree programme is suitable is made by the selection com mittee; the decision may include an ancillary provision requiring completion of missing modules within two semesters. Suitable previous degree programmes include, as a rule, degree pro grammes in Civil Engineering and in Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as related degrees if they include at least the following credit points: - 18 CP Mathematics for Engineers 2 - - (including Probability Theory/Statistics/Data Analysis) 12 CP Computer Science/Programming - 18 CP Natural Sciences (including Physics/Biology/Chemistry/Fluid Dynamics/Thermodynamics) and at least 30 CP in the area of Water or Environmental Engineering (including Hydrology, Water Re sources Management, Sanitary Engineering, Fluid Dynamics or Process Engineering, Sustaina bility Engineering) or 20 CP from areas of Water or Environmental Engineering mentioned and in which evidence is also provided of a final project/bachelor's thesis in the area of Water Engineering.
GPA Comment-With the grade "good" or better.
There is no minimum grade / entry grade for the master's application. Notwithstanding the currently valid admission regulations for master's programmes, the minimum grade of 2.5 is no longer applied. The admission regulations will be revised in this regard.
What to prepare for your application to Water Resources and Environmental Engineering
Bachelor of Science certificate. If not yet available at time of application, applicants have to send a proof of the hitherto obtained credit points and marks;
University transcript. Including a description of the grading system;
Curriculum Vitae. Signed by applicant;
