1. Advanced technical college certificate/general higher education entrance qualification or equivalent qualification
2. Bachelor's degree or comparable degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, mechatronics or another closely related course of study
3. Proof of a final grade of 2.5 or better

Proof of English language proficiency, proven by level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as evidenced by suitable proof, which will be announced by the International Office of TH OWL or at least 7 years of English language training as part of general school education, whereby as a rule at least satisfactory (3.0) results must have been achieved in the last four semester periods

Applicants who have not obtained their first professionally qualifying degree through or on the basis of international treaties and who do not belong to another member state of the European Union and have not obtained their study qualification at a German university or at a university belonging to the Bologna signatory states must also provide proof of their ability to study on the basis of one of the following certificates:
