No tuition fees for most programmes

Public universities in North Rhine-Westphalia do not charge tuition fees for consecutive Bachelor's and Master's programmes, for EU and non-EU students alike. You also pay a semester contribution (Semesterbeitrag) of roughly 100 to 400 EUR, set by each university, which often includes a public transport pass. Continuing-education and executive Master's programmes, which usually require work experience, can charge fees even at public universities, and private universities set their own fees, so check OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts's fee page for its exact fees.
