What you need to apply for Architecture Typology at Technical University Berlin (TU Berlin)
The formal admission requirement for the consecutive master’s program in Architecture Typology is a first university degree in architecture qualifying the applicant for professional work.
As the master’s program is taught in English, applicants must submit proof of English skills at CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level C1. Knowledge of German is useful as some courses/modules are offered in German. However, this is not a condition for admission to studies.

What to prepare for your application to Architecture Typology

Current CV (1-2 DIN A-4 pages) including school and higher education information, additional relevant
activities and experience in connection with the studies.
Hand signed letter of motivation (approx. 1 DIN A-4 page). Please briefly explain why you wish to
study at the TU Berlin. You can point out and describe special and professional qualifications
related to TU Berlin focuses.
Work samples (Portfolio) from the first degree (6 to 8 DIN A-4 pages). You can choose up to three
design projects documenting your own structural and technical qualifications as well as creative
and artistic design abilities. Please keep in mind the format requirements A4. A short text included
in the 6-8 pages can be helpful.
Further documents certifying specialist qualifications and relevant credentials, internships,
vocational training, stays abroad, prizes and distinctions.
