Information Technologies for the Built Environment at TUM in Munich is a full-time, four-semester Master of Science with 120 credits, starting in the winter semester (October). Teaching is usually in English, with some courses possibly in German. Digital twins, smart cities, GIS, urban and building information modelling, design automation, digital fabrication, remote sensing, AI and human-computer interaction all shape the places we live, and the building industry needs specialists who connect these technologies across disciplines and scales. The programme brings together information technologies from architecture, civil engineering and geodesy. You learn to capture, generate, interpret, use and adapt digital data at the interface of different digital systems, and to work in interdisciplinary teams that manage, advise on and create the digital side of built environment projects across the construction lifecycle. Admission is through an aptitude assessment.
