Chemistry

• Bachelor's degree or at least equivalent degree at the level of at least three years of study at a university, university of applied sciences, cooperative university or at a recognised foreign higher education institution in a degree programme in chemistry or in a related or subject-specific course of study with examination results that are proven by one of the points 1 to 2

A study programme in chemistry requires that the degree encompasses examinations from the following areas:

a) Examination achievements in the chemistry modules amounting to not less than

85 ECTS credits, and

b) Examiniation achievements in chemistry labs amounting to not less than 25

ECTS credits, and

c) The ability to conduct independent scientific work, demonstrated in particular by a thesis or comparable achievement to the extent of 10 ECTS

credits.

Examination results must comply with one of the following criteria

• final grade of an academic degree 3.0 or better,
• or if the degree has not yet been completed
• examination results weighted according to credit points, showing an average grade of 3.0 or better by the application deadline. The examination results must be documented in a current transcript of records.

• Higher education degree in a study programme with English as the sole language of instruction
• 5.5 points or more in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS IELTS Academic (IELTS online) or IELTS Indicator); if both score and CEFR level are indicated, the higher indicated language proficiency level will be recognised
• First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in English Language Skills (CELS) Vantage or Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage Cambridge exam English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) (Cambridge University)
• 400 (listening), 385 (reading), 160 (speaking) and 150 (writing) points or more in the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
• 72 points or more in the Test of English as a Foreign Language internet-based (TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT home edition)
• Level II of UNIcert®
• PTE Academic, with a score of 59 or higher
• CEFR B 2 level or higher shown on the higher education entrance qualification. A level of language proficiency which is partly at CEFR B 2 and lower is not recognised
• Higher education entrance qualification with proof of language achievement in the last 2 years with at least 5 points each.

The proof of language proficiency required for the respective degree programme must be presented at the latest at the time of enrolment. Exception: For the Master Cognitive Systems, the required language certificate must be submitted by the time of application.

Enrolment without the required language certificate is not possible.
