Anglophone Studies (2-subject)

The prerequisite for admission to the subject "Anglophone Studies" in the two-subject Master's degree programme is the successful completion of the subject "Anglophone Studies" in the two-subject Bachelor's degree programme at the University of Duisburg-Essen

or

an equivalent or comparable degree programme in the field of English Studies, American Studies or English Linguistics (depending on the chosen specialisation in "Anglophone Studies").

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the field of English, American or English linguistics, and 45 ECTS in English.

The overall grade of the degree must usually be at least 2.5 or better.

The examination board may allow exceptions to the required minimum grade in justified individual cases. The decision is based on the amount of the minimum grade, the grading of the final thesis with the grade good or better, the duration of the course of study and outstanding individual achievements.

• B2 (for Master's degree programmes)

of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages have already been acquired in their home country. Please provide proof in the form of a certificate (Toefl, IELTS, Medium of Instruction).

In combination with a subject of study from the University Alliance Ruhr ([Ruhr-Universität Bochum](https://www.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/de/willkommen-der-ruhr-uni...), [TU Dortmund](https://www.tu-dortmund.de/uni/de/Uni/)), the application or enrolment at the second university takes place with the "Great Second Auditor Status". No additional tuition fee!
