What you will do

You analyze an existing manual inspection process for its automation potential
You develop an automation concept for testing the noise and vibration behavior of motorized axes
You integrate the components required for automation, including robots, HMI, PLCs, accelerometers and microphones
If necessary, you design fixtures, special grippers or similar components
You conduct the developed tests in the robot workshop and incorporate the findings into your concept through review cycles
You work closely with an expert team from R&D, automation, production equipment construction and test planning

You are studying automation engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable technical or engineering degree programme
You are proficient in using MS Office
You have initial experience in robotic automation
You have good written and spoken German and/or English skills
You are willing to take on new topics and acquire the necessary skills
You are characterized by independence, commitment, a systematic approach and a strong interest in future manufacturing technologies
In consultation with the department, it may be possible to work as a working student in preparation for your thesis
