Key facts

As part of your internship, you will contribute to the development of laser systems for industrial production and learn about modern technologies such as e-mobility.
When integrating new, not yet series-ready technology, you will work with the team to develop conceptual solution approaches.
By designing mechanical assemblies as well as fixture and automation technology, you will shape central components of our laser systems.
In cooperation with our customers, you will take practical requirements into account and thus bring a view of real operating conditions.
With calculations, simulations and tests, you will accompany the various applications of the laser in cutting, welding and build-up welding.

A degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on design or a comparable qualification forms your technical basis.
Ideally, you have completed vocational training as a mechanic or mechatronics technician or have initial practical experience in the metalworking industry.
You are confident in using 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks, and apply your knowledge specifically in design.
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken, round off your profile.
In demanding project phases you show willingness to perform and initiative and approach your tasks in a structured and independent manner.

Mandatory internship or voluntary internship (also in a gap year between bachelor's and master's).
