In this research context, we are looking for a talented student who is pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology (Biologie), biotechnology (Biotechnologie), biomedical sciences (Biomedizin), molecular medicine (Molekulare Medizin) or a related life sciences discipline to support our research as a student assistant (HiWi). Typical tasks include:
- Cultivation and maintenance of various cell lines (thawing, passaging, cryopreservation).
- Preparation of culture media and reagents.
- Assisting with cell-based assays relevant to our diagnostic experiments.
- Documentation of lab activities.
What you need
- An enrollment at a German university in a relevant field such as biology, biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular medicine, or a related discipline.
- Previous laboratory experience in cell culture (e.g., during Bachelor’s thesis.
- Good laboratory practices (GLP) and careful, independent work style.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with sterile work under a biosafety cabinet.
- Familiarity with basic microscopy.
- Interest in learning additional techniques related to diagnostics and molecular biology.
