These include: desktop applications, backend, web applications with persistent data storage and mobile apps, with your area of deployment aligned to your strengths and interests.
What you need

- Basic knowledge of programming with Java
- Optional: Java Servlets, Tomcat/Jetty, relational databases, IntelliJ, GitLab, Maven
- Ability to familiarize yourself with new (open source) frameworks, e.g., instant messaging and geographic information systems
