Student Assistant (m/f/d) - AI and Simulation for Industrial Application

Building simulation models (e.g., FEM or CFD) Selection, development, and training of AI models (e.g., data-driven surrogate models) based on simulation results – including conventional black-box models, operator learning approaches, and physics-informed methods (grey-box) Derivation of relevant evaluation metrics Evaluation and comparison of different methods (classical numerical, AI black-box, AI grey-box)

Valid enrollment at a German university or university of applied sciences in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, computational engineering, physics, or comparable Basic knowledge of numerical simulation (FEM or CFD an advantage) Interest in machine learning and data-driven methods Willingness to familiarize yourself with common ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) Independent, structured way of working and strong team skills Good German and English language skills
