Question 1

How do non-EU applicants apply to SDI München?

Accepted Answer

You apply through uni-assist if you are not an EU or EEA citizen and your entrance qualification or first degree is from outside Germany. You register at my.uni-assist.de, upload your documents and pay uni-assist's processing fee; uni-assist then forwards successful applications to SDI.

Question 2

Until when can I apply to SDI München via uni-assist?

Accepted Answer

SDI accepts applications via uni-assist until mid-October of the respective year, on an ongoing basis. Because uni-assist can take several weeks, SDI recommends applying as early as possible.

Question 3

Which documents do I need?

Accepted Answer

You need your school certificates, your Bachelor's certificate for a Master's, official translations if not in German or English, language proof for your programme, a CV in table form, a 1 to 2 page motivation letter and an APS certificate if applicable.

Question 4

How much does the MA Intercultural Communication cost?

Accepted Answer

Tuition is 640 euros a month, or less if you pay per semester or in full (10,800 euros for 3 semesters). The Studierendenwerk fee is 97 euros per semester and the oral final exam costs 250 euros. The one-off registration fee is 950 euros if your last educational qualification is from outside the EU (475 euros if it is from the EU), or 375 euros with the early bird discount until 15 July.

Question 5

What do I need for my student visa?

Accepted Answer
