How to apply
What you need to apply for Molecular Biotechnology at Heidelberg University
Proof of sufficient English language skills. The proof
sufficient language skills can be achieved by:
1) the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 570 paper-based TOEFL tests or 230 computer-based TOEFL tests or 90 internet-based
TOEFL test points or
2) the International English Language Test System with a score of 6.5 or
better or
3) a Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
The evidence should not be older than four years.
Applicants proven by one of the following proofs:
a German language diploma from the Conference of Ministers of Education – second level
or
an exam to prove German language skills PNdS or German
Language test for university entrance (DSH level 2)
or
the “Big” or “Small German Language Diploma” from the Goethe-Institut
or
the central advanced level examination ZOP of the Goethe-Institut
or
the Test of German as a Foreign Language (TestDaF) if it is passed in all sub-examinations
at least with the result TDN 4
or
the certificate of the examination to determine the suitability of foreign applicants
for admission to a course of study at a university in the Federal Republic
Germany (assessment test)
or
a certificate according to bilateral agreements with other countries, e.g. with France,
according to which there is equivalence to the DSH exam if in French
Certificate of completion (baccalaureate) German as a continued foreign language and as a
written partial examination of the final examination is proven.
Paragraph 2 e does not apply to applicants whose mother tongue
German is.
Required
Curriculum vitae, evidence of any work experience and work experience outside of the university

The application must be accompanied by: a) a certificate of general higher education entrance qualification (HZB), a relevant subject-specific HZB, or a foreign HZB recognized as equivalent by the responsible government authority. German certificates must be uncertified; foreign certificates must be officially certified.

CV, proof of any professional experience and external biotechnology-related achievements, e.g. biotechnology internship in a biotech company or research institution.

Admission requirements are:
1\. the general university entrance qualification certificate, a relevant subject-specific qualification
University entrance qualification, a foreign university entrance qualification or one from the
university entrance qualification recognized as equivalent by the responsible state authority.
2\. Proof of a university degree passed with above-average success
