How to apply
What you need to apply for Advisory and Innovation Services in Agri-Food Systems (AdvisoryServices) M.Sc. at University of Hohenheim
Proof of English proficiency, most commonly by an IELTS academic test (overall band 6.5) or TOEFL ibt (90 points)
Please note, that a language proficiency certificate from your university is not sufficient! Even if you have studied in English during your entire university career (e.g. in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, India, …) we need the result of an official English test.
The only exceptions apply to applicants who have studied in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand, or at a university in the European Union where English was the language of instruction.
German applicants can submit their Abitur-Zeugnis as proof of English if they studied English in the last two years of high school and if they achieved at least 8 points on the average during these two years.
Proof of English proficiency, as described above. Please note: language proficiency letters from universities are not accepted!

Admission requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural or Horticultural Sciences, Forestry, Agro-Ecology, or a related discipline with “above average” grades
If the final grade or grade point average of this degree is not above average, special aptitude for the degree program can be proven, if applicable (for details, see Admission Regulations Section 4). The admissions committee decides whether there is a special aptitude for the degree program.
Ranking or recommendation letter, if additional proof is needed to show that the final grade of your previous degree was actually above average. If your GPA is numerically below average (2.5 on the German scale), then you will need to acquire a ranking document from your university proving that you were in the top half of your class.
Previous knowledge in economics at the undergraduate level (listed in your transcript of records) At least 6 ECTS
In addition to credits and grades earned per course, transcripts must include a grading scale, otherwise a supplement is to be included.
If you have not graduated yet at the time of applying, you can just upload your current grade list.
In case you have studied on Master’s level already you can also include the respective documents here. They cannot replace the Bachelor’s documents, they can only be considered additionally to your Bachelor’s degree.
University Entrance Qualification (i.e. your secondary school leaving certificate, high-school diploma, A-level certificate, etc.) in original form, with certified translations into English or German (if issued in another language). This is needed for statistical purposes only and does not influence your admission for the program.
Proof of special aptitude for the degree program if your academic background does not clearly match the admission requirements. Your special aptitude can be proven by a convincing motivation letter (use this [form (PDF)](https://www.uni-hohenheim.de/fileadmin/uni_hohenheim/Stud...) only, other formats will not be considered), proof of relevant work experience or other activities related to the scope of the degree program.
