What you need to apply for Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Control (E-PiCo) at Kiel University (CAU)
Applicants must speak and write English fluently. An applicant whose native language is not English is required to pass a recognized international English test:
TOEFL (CBT 220, PBT 550, IBT 80),
Cambridge B2 First test (173 or higher)
Cambridge C1 Advanced test (160 or higher)
IELTS (6.5 or higher),
TOEIC (800 or higher).
No other test is recognized.
Applicants who carried out their studies in English (official confirmation letter from their university is needed) are eligible without providing such a test, but providing the results of a recognized international test can add value to their application.

What to prepare for your application to Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Control (E-PiCo)
All documents to be uploaded on the platform need to be in English language. If the original version of the documents is not in English, you must upload it with a certified English translation.

3. Academic degree and transcripts of all university studies with translation into English, i.e. Bachelor, Master or equivalent. If the degree is due to be obtained after the deadline, a certificate from the institution indicating the situation of the student and the expected date of graduation must be provided
4. Cover letter / Motivation letter

This document is not required if the language of instruction of your studies is English. The fact must be certified by an official document or letter from the university. In that case, submitting an English Test Certificate is not compulsory, but can add value to your application.
NB: the GRE code is provided for students who have GRE results and want to submit them. Note that the GRE is NOT compulsory, nor can it replace the English Test Certificate.
6. Proof of residence (for students applying for the Erasmus+ EMJMD scholarship): either of the following documents can be accepted (with certified English translation):
a residence certificate issued in accordance with the candidate's city hall / municipality administration
a certificate from the candidate's place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question
Important: the proof of residence certificate must have been issued within 12 months before the submission deadline of applying for an EMJMD student scholarship
Four semesters (of which you can spend up to three semesters in Kiel).Please note that there are different deadlines for applicants. If you wish to apply for an Erasmus Mundus or Consortium scholarship, your complete application needs to be submitted before 31 January every year. If you are self-financing your studies, the deadline is 31 May for non-European students and 22 June for European students.
