Admission requirements
Students seeking admission to the M.Sc. programme must have a Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics or comparable degree and must demonstrate their particular academic aptitude and suitability for this programme.
The criteria to demonstrate the particular academic aptitude and suitability for this program are:
1. Proof of English language skills at an advanced level according tot he Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (C1 in TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, etc.),
2. Proof of competences in the following areas:
3. Basic knowledge of mathematics tot he extent of 18 CP,
4. basic knowledge of computer science totalling 18 CP,
5. basic knowledge of bioinformatics (sequence analysis, protein structure) totalling 18 CP,
6. basic knowledge i areas oft he life sciences (chemistry, molecular biology, genetics) tot he extent of 10 CP.
7. a letter of justification fort he choice of degree programme of no more than 1000 words, in which the applicants explain the skills, competences and interests that make them particularly suitable fort he desired degree programme, also against the regarding their personal background:
