Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence is a full-time Master of Science at TUM in Garching, over four semesters with 120 ECTS. German and English are required for admission. It is a joint programme of the Departments of Informatics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering, and you can start in the winter or the summer semester. Robots now share everyday life with people, from mowing lawns to wearable exoskeletons, so they must adapt to unforeseen situations and learn through artificial intelligence. The programme gives you a broad methodological and theoretical grasp of robotics, cognition and intelligent autonomous systems. You study classic robot control along with perception, image processing and AI, plus signal processing, sensor data analysis and fusion, and programming, together with the relevant parts of electrical and mechanical engineering. Admission is through an aptitude assessment.
