About the programme

Urban Planning and Sustainable Transformation at TH OWL is a full-time, English-taught Master's on the Creative Campus Detmold. The programme itself runs for two semesters and starts in the winter semester. It is aimed at people who want to find creative answers to the complex challenges of cities and spaces. The first semester covers research tools and methods in science, technology and design and a research plan and project, from an interdisciplinary conference to individual studies on current challenges in urban planning, ending with a presentation of your thesis outline. The second semester is your individual thematic work. Requirements include a planning-related Bachelor's, such as urban and regional planning, landscape architecture or architecture, plus a convincing portfolio of project examples, a letter of application on your interests and motivation, a selection interview and English at B2 level. Study places are allocated through a selection process.
