What you need to apply for Applied Geoscience at TU Bergakademie Freiberg
English language skills, which are proven by a recognized language test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with at least 90 points (internet-based test) or the International English Language Test System (IELTS) with a result of at least 6.5 are to be proven. A higher education entrance qualification obtained at an English-speaking school, a degree course taught entirely in English, or English as your mother tongue can be counted as an equivalent. All persons who have acquired an educational qualification in Great Britain, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Australia are exempt from taking an English language test.

Practical experience or internships of generally less than one year, preferably in the field of geosciences

What to prepare for your application to Applied Geoscience
1. Application for admission to study for foreign applicants I Notes on the application form ; Attention: Please indicate on the application form in the field " 2nd major or 1st minor " the desired specialization (Environmental Geoscience or Tectonophysis of Orogeny )
2. Certificate of the present professional qualification in officially certified copy
3. If the degree has not yet been achieved: a certificate from the university at which the enrollment is still to be completed, about the prospective graduation with proof of the previous course achievements
4. Proof of English language skills (see entry requirements)
5. Proof of course-specific work experience or internships
Letter of motivation (one A4 page).
Applications typically require five things,
in addition to supplemental documents specific to an institution: (1) undergraduate transcripts, (2) GRE scores, (3) recommendation letters, (4) a completed application package, and (5) a statement of purpose (i.e., personal statement). There is often an application fee, transcript request fee, and GRE score request fee. Applicants will also be asked to select M.S. or Ph.D. program consideration (Toké and Arrowsmith, 2009). Applications are evaluated as a package; notable deficiencies should be reconciled in the personal statement. Refer to Maher (2017) for extended details. Target date: Deadlines are set by the department and may be as early as 1 December.
