What you need to apply for Crop Protection (MSc) at University of Gottingen
Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of proficiency in English (i.e. TOEFL or equivalent language certificate)
Required TOEFL Scores are:
--220 Points in the computer based test
--80 points in the internet based test
The language test certificate should not be more than 2 years old at the time of application. Students with a one year study or working experience in an English speaking country within the last five years do not need the proof of English proficiency.
The following internationally recognized tests and levels are accepted:
a) Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English grade "B"
b) Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English grade "C"
c) "International English Language Testing System" (IELTS) 6 points or better
d) at least 550 points in a paper-based TOEFL
e) at least 220 points in a computerbased TOEFL
f) at least 80 points in the "new internet based TOEFL
g) UNIcert level III
h) C1-certificate of CEF (Common European Framework)

1. For admission a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences, biology or a related discipline following at least 6 semesters of University studies is required. Admission is mainly based on the student’s grade point average, which should be 3.0 (German system, equivalent to a B-) or better.
2. Educational background, relevant professional experience, additional professional qualifications and motivation may also be considered in the selection process.
Relevant professional experience
Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences, biology or a related discipline following at least 6 semesters of University studies is required. Your Bachelor is relevant, if achievements in the field of plant sciences amounting to at least 60 credits, including 24 credits in crop production, plant breeding or plant nutrition, and 10 credits in phytomedicine (crop protection, phytopathology, agricultural entomology or herbology) have been completed.
Admission is mainly based on the student’s grade point average, which should be 2.5 (German system, equivalent to a B-) or better.
Educational background, relevant professional experience, additional professional qualifications and motivation may also be considered in the selection process.
