If you are still studying at the time of application and cannot provide a final certificate with a grade, please submit a current transcript of records with a provisional average grade. The final certificate must be submitted by the end of the first semester of your Master's program. At least 150 credit points must be demonstrated at the time of application, otherwise a realistic start to studies or the timely submission of the bachelor's degree certificate cannot be expected.
Evidence of the other qualifications listed in your CV (e.g., professional history, professional development, internships, international experience or travel, language skills, computer skills, other activities).

Since this is officially a German-language master's program that also offers English-language courses, an informal confirmation from the applicant is required that they have sufficient knowledge of the English language to follow academic courses, read specialist literature, and, if necessary, take the associated oral and written exams in English.

University Degree
A Bachelor's degree in Nanoscience from the University of Hamburg or a comparable degree program at another university.
or:
A Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Hamburg or a comparable degree program at another university, covering the fundamentals of chemistry
as well as advanced knowledge of physical chemistry and/or nanochemistry.
or:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg or a comparable degree program at another university, covering the fundamentals of physics as well as advanced knowledge of nanostructure physics or solid-state physics.
The selection committee for the Master's program in Nanoscience will make the determination.
If no degree certificate is available at the time of application, it can be submitted by the end of the first Master's semester. For the documents required in this case, see "Application Documents to Be Submitted" below.
Other special admission requirements:

Recognition of certificates for degrees obtained abroad
For applicants who have earned their first degree abroad, the recognition of a certificate for an educational qualification obtained abroad will be carried out as part of the application process at the faculty.
