How to apply
What you need to apply for International Business Program at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management
required
yes
First academic degree: Bachelor's degree in any subject area
Applicants need a bachelor's degree from any subject area with at least 180 ECTS credits from a state or state-recognized university. If you obtained your university degree outside Germany, the university must be listed in the [Anabin database](https://anabin.kmk.org/cms/public/startseite) with the status "H+" in order for the degree to be recognized as equivalent in Germany.
For first-year students who did not have a business-related focus in their Bachelor's program, our pre-master's modules are mandatory after enrollment. Even if no degree in economics is required, a strong interest in economic topics should be recognizable, for example through business-related courses, internships or relevant professional experience. If you have not yet completed your Bachelor's degree at the time of application, please apply with your current Transcript of Records and submit your degree certificate and transcript after completing your studies.
Practical experience: Minimum 3 months, maximum 2 years
The program is aimed at prospective students who have worked for a maximum of two years after their first degree. However, you should have gained at least 12 weeks (480 hours) of practical experience in a business-related field by the start of your studies, which must be proven by an official certificate from the employer. The certificate should contain the following information: your full name, the title of the position, the start and end of the employment period, a short job description as well as a company stamp and the signature of an authorized person.
Quantitative and analytical skills: GMAT, GRE or GTEBS
Your application requires one of the following standardized test scores (online tests are available):

We accept the following test results (valid for two years; Online tests are possible):
If you have completed your bachelor's degree and/or your school education entirely in English, we do not require separate proof of English language proficiency. In this case, a certificate from the school or university is sufficient. Other tests, such as the Duolingo English Test or TOEIC, are not accepted.
