- Pay
- Paid according to public service tariff (TVöD) up to pay group 5
- Subject you study
- Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering
What you'll do
- Literature research on solar membrane reactor concepts for synthesis gas generation and their integration into industrial CO2 sources
- Mapping of the membrane reactor in Aspen Plus, based on an existing simulation of the cement plant and a basic simulation of methanol synthesis
- Integration into the overall system (cement plant, membrane reactor, methanol synthesis) and development of a transferable modeling approach applicable to other cement plants
- Techno-economic assessment of the overall system with Python, including comparison of the considered reactor concepts
- Derivation of development corridors: Which efficiencies, costs and other key figures of the membrane reactor must be achieved for the overall system to become competitive
What you need
- Studies in process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable degree program
- Very good programming skills (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C++)
- Good knowledge of process simulation software (e.g. Aspen Plus®, CHEMCAD)
- Very high comprehension, initiative and independence
What you get
