1.After the International Office has received your application documents, you will receive confirmation of receipt by email together with notification of any missing documents.
2.The International Office will check your application documents to determine whether you fulfil the formal admission requirements.
3.If you fulfil the formal admission requirements, the International Office will forward your application to the department in charge of the study programme to which you have applied. The department determines which applicants it will admit.
4.If you are admitted to the study programme, the International Office will send you an official letter of acceptance (Zulassungsbescheid).
5.Letters of acceptance are either unconditional (no additional requirements) or conditional. In the latter case, you need to present further documents on the day of enrolment at the latest in order to start your studies. Your letter of acceptance will contain detailed information of what is required.
6.If your application documents do not fulfil the formal admission requirements or if the department does not admit you to the study programme, you will receive notification (Ablehnungsbescheid) and your application documents will be returned to you.
