What to prepare for your application to Scientific Computing
The following documents must be submitted as an upload in the application portal heiCO:
All higher education and university diplomas including Transcripts of Records): A Transcript of Records is an official document of the college/university, which lists all academic achievements within a degree programme or within a degree programme combination completely with individual grades and indication of semester or academic year.
In the case of foreign higher education and university certificates, the grading system used at the foreign institution of higher education must be taken from the attached Transcript of Records, as this is required to determine the German equivalent grade. The grading system must indicate both the minimum and maximum grades to be achieved.
If the degree has not been obtained by the end of the application period, a provisional certificate from the university with all the work completed by this deadline must be submitted (provisional transcriptof records). The certificate must show that the course of study will probably be completed by the beginning of the admission semester applied for. If possible, please apply to the Examinations Office responsible for you for proof of the average grade achieved so far for all the work performed up to this point in time.
For German-language degree programmes, proof of knowledge of the German language at the level of the German Language Examination for University Entrance Level 2 (DSH 2) must be submitted at the time of enrolment (does NOT apply to applicants with a German university entrance qualification). Please note: For some German-language Master's degree programmes, a special language level must already be uploaded with the application. Further information, can be found on the homepage at
