1. After the International Office has received your application documents, you will receive confirmation of receipt by email together with notification of any missing documents.
2. The International Office will check your application documents to determine whether you fulfil the formal admission requirements.
3. If you fulfil the formal admission requirements, the International Office will forward your application to the department in charge of the study programme to which you have applied. The department determines which applicants it will admit.
4. If you are admitted to the study programme, the International Office will send you an official letter of acceptance (Zulassungsbescheid).
5. Letters of acceptance are either unconditional (no additional requirements) or conditional. In the latter case, you need to present further documents on the day of enrolment at the latest in order to start your studies. Your letter of acceptance will contain detailed information of what is required.
6. If your application documents do not fulfil the formal admission requirements or if the department does not admit you to the study programme, you will receive notification (Ablehnungsbescheid) and your application documents will be returned to you.

To be awarded the Master’s degree, you need a total of 300 credit points (ECTS), 90 credit points from the Master’s course and 210 credit points from your previous undergradute programme. If you have only obtained 180 credit points from your earlier undergraduate studies, you can make up the shortfall of 30 credit points during the Master’s study course by completing an internship or attending further modules.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the field of business administration or economics. Minimum credits have to be equivalent to 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Equivalence of credits will be checked after application.
Students with less than 210 ECTS in their Bachelor's degree will study in the four-semester variant of the programme. They are required to obtain an additional 30 ECTS (besides the 90 ECTS awarded in the Master's programme), for instance, through a six-month internship, a semester abroad, or by taking additional modules.
English language proficiency at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required
First university degree (Diplom, Bachelor's degree) mainly in the field of business and/or economics and worth at least 180 ECTS credits. Furthermore, English language skills must be at least level B2. Applicants who have obtained their higher education entrance qualification in an English-speaking country or who have already completed a higher education programme predominantly in English are exempt from this requirement
