The written entry test for winter semester 2026/27 is taking place on:
June 16, 2026, 11:00-12:30 in München-Großhadern
Provided that you _either_ passed the entry test in Munich or submitted a GRE test result (score 75% or higher) on the application tool you will be invited to an oral exam in late June.
The admission interviews will be held online in Zoom.

What to prepare for your application to Epidemiology
Proof of your Studies:
Certificate of the bachelor’s degree with a proof of the average grade and explanation of the grading scale together with evidence of the minimum pass-grade required as well as the maximum possible grade in the subject concerned. Please note that we have to reject applications without a proof of average grade which is ≤ 2.5 according to the German grading system certified by your examination office!
Transcripts of records of the courses you have attended.
If your documents are not in German or English an official translation has to be additionally provided.
If you have not yet finished your bachelor’s studies at the time of your application, please provide an official transcript of all examination results to date, and an overall weighted average grade. In case of admission you will receive a conditional acceptance offer as long as your final grade is pending. Please note that at the time of your application you must have completed at least 75 % of the requirements of your bachelor's curriculum (in the case of a 180 ECTS course, this would be 135 ECTS points).
Conversion of grades:The calculation of equivalent grades to the German grading system will be carried out on the basis of the modified Bavarian formula (see the PDF here) for the calculation of final results.
c) GRE Test Score
In case that you cannot take the written entrance test at LMU in Munich, please upload a scan of your GRE General Test result (Graduate Record Examination https://www.ets.org/gre.html, 75th percentile or higher and not older than 5 years) until 15 May.
