A successful completion of the bachelor's degree program in International Business Studies at the University of Paderborn or a successful completion of an equivalent or comparable research-oriented degree program in International Business Studies or a relevant degree program. In principle, other bachelor's or technical college degrees are also sufficient.
This course must either
have been completed with at least a grade of 2.5, or
The applicant must be among the first 35 percent of all test takers who have completed the test. Either all corresponding examinations from the final semester and the previous semester or all corresponding examinations from the two previous semesters must be taken as a basis. This means that the grade of your degree (not individual exams) is considered in relation to the final grades of all other degrees in the same course of study. The comparison groups are either the degrees of the graduates of your final semester and the previous semester or the degrees of the graduates of the two previous semesters. In both cases, you must be in the top 35% with your degree,
Content requirements
Overall, you must have knowledge in the following areas and scope:
Business Administration and Economics 60 ECTS
Quantitative methods including business informatics 20 ECTS, including mathematics 5 ECTS and statistics 5 ECTS
Bachelor's thesis 10 ECTS
linguistic proficiency
English language skills at level C1 (language certificate)
Knowledge of French or Spanish at level B2 (language certificate)
Please note that international students must prove (before they can begin their actual studies) that their German language skills are sufficient for the chosen course of study. Accepted tests and specific requirements can be found on the International Office website .
Are you missing ECTS?
If you are missing up to 30 ECTS credits from your bachelor's degree, you can enroll in the master's degree subject to certain conditions . If possible, the requirements should be met in the first year of the master's degree. You can find out which content needs to be re-studied in the notification sent by the study office . The study office will also be happy to assist you with any further questions you may have regarding the requirements imposed.
If more than 30 ECTS of course content is missing, enrollment under certain conditions is not possible because the bachelor's degree presented has significant differences to a bachelor's degree from the University of Paderborn.
This programme applies directly or via uni-assist. Submit your documents through the correct channel before the deadline.
